Heading of headings

I know not the first letter of the alphabet. I have always been regretting that I was not as wise as the day I was born. The intellect is a cleaver; it discerns and rifts its way into the secret of things. I do not wish to be any more busy with my hands than is necessary.

“To argue with a man who has renounced the use and authority of reason, and whose philosophy consists in holding humanity in contempt, is like administering medicine to the dead, or endeavoring to convert an atheist by scripture.”

Let's talk books!

My book of the month for January is "Natural Beauty" by Ling ing Huang.

Although it's maybe not my favourite book ever, I think it's still worth a read and here's why...

Let's discuss

Some books I'm looking forward to in 2025

There's quite a few exciting things happening in 2025.

I've got my eye on some fiction and non-fiction as well as some graphic novels.

Non-fiction

More finance and crypto research coming out to help us make sense of the current economic and cultural landscape.

Also looking forward to Meredith Krew's exploration of modern Christianity and it's tendency to side with far-right groups.

Best places to read in the city

If you need inspiration for where to read look no further.

I'm going to share some of my favourite places to read so you can be inspired too.

Urban locations

Being urban people we are often limited to reading in the city. What are some non-trivial places to relax with a good book?

Some of these are going to require you to pay money, which can be annoying, but lots of free options too.

  • Cafe - a cozy cafe is always a good choice.
  • Park bench - cozy in summer
  • River promenade

Some incredible poetry

Roses are red, violets are blue, the flowers are pretty and so are you.
